Andrew R. GraBois is a Senior Associate in the Firm's Labor and Employee Benefits practice.
Mr. GraBois represents organizations, corporations and joint labor/management benefit funds in a variety of fields, including the restaurant, publishing, airline, education, service, healthcare and construction industries.
Mr.GraBois serves as lead counsel to clients in arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations and employer investigations. Mr. GraBois advises clients on all aspects ofworkplace issues, including obligations derived from labor and employment agreements as well as various statutory rights. Mr. GraBois also represents clients in federal and state court litigation and proceedings before administrative agencies including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the United States Department of Labor and other federal, state and city administrative agencies. Mr. GraBois conducts weekly training classes for clients on the practical applications of various labor and employment laws and assists clients in designing labor and employment related practices and policies.
Additionally, Mr. GraBois represents clients in various aspects of Employee Benefits Law, including issues relating to ERISA's fiduciary duty and prohibited transaction provisions, the collection of delinquent benefit fund contributions, and the merger of employee benefit plans. Mr. GraBois has drafted various plan documents including summary plan descriptions and plan participation agreements. Mr. GraBois also regularly serves as primary counsel in litigation arising from employee benefit plans.
