Craig R. Nussbaum

Craig Nussbaum joined O'Dwyer & Bernstien in 2004 as an Associate. He currently serves the firm as Of Counsel, where he specializes in the representation of unions, benefit funds, and labor management corporations.
Mr. Nussbaum represents clients before state and federal courts and state and federal agencies in matters involving prevailing wages, apprenticeship programs, challenges under the Freedom of Information Act, wrongful discharge, discrimination, member grievances and professional malpractice. His most recent work for the firm includes converting a single-employer pension plan to a multi-employer plan and working with actuaries, accountants, financial advisors and new employers participating in the plan.
Prior to joining O'Dwyer & Bernstien Mr. Nussbaum was an associate with a nationally recognized corporate reorganization and bankruptcy boutique firm. He represented debtors, creditors and other parties in interest in sophisticated Chapter 11 cases and in non-judicial corporate reorganizations and restructurings.
Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Nussbaum served as director of vetting in the scheduling and advance department for Al Gore's 2000 Presidential campaign. He was previously an intern for Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney.
In 2009 Mr. Nussbaum was elected to the seven member Town Council of the Town of Tolland, Connecticut. The Town Council is the legislative and policy-determining branch of the municipal government and its policies are delegated to the Town Manager for execution. He previously served on the Tolland Board of Education.
